Ascended Heroes released January 30, 2026 as the first special set of the Mega Evolution era, themed on Pokemon Legends: Z-A and numbered ME2.5 between the main expansions. It is the largest English set the Pokemon TCG has printed, 217 cards plus 78 secret rares for 295 in all, and it introduced the three first-partner Megas: Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex and Mega Feraligatr ex. Mega Dragonite ex fronts the Elite Trainer Box, and the Mega Gengar ex Special Illustration Rare is the card most people open it for.
